Alright, so it could be easier to register and enter MassChallenge. A lot easier. We will streamline this process as soon as we can. In the meantime, here are step-by-step instructions on how to register and enter:
1) Register as an individual
a. Go to: http://www.masschallenge.org/competition/get-involved
b. Select “Entrant” and click submit
c. Create a personal username and enter your name and email address
d. Check your email for your temporary password
i. If you don’t receive an email, send us a your MassChallenge username (which is not your email address) at: contact@masschallenge.org
e. Log into your account and create a personal password
f. Fill out optional contact and background information to help us communicate better with you
2) Create a team account
a. Log out of your individual account
b. Go to: http://www.masschallenge.org/user/register/team
c. Create a team name and enter an email address for your team
i. You need to use a unique email account for the team, i.e. you cannot re-use an email address associated with any of the personal accounts.
d. Check your email for your temporary password
i. If you don’t receive an email, send us a your MassChallenge username (which is not your email address) at: contact@masschallenge.org
e. Log into your team account and create a password for your team
3) Submit payment and information required to enter MassChallenge
a. Enter background information about your team
b. Enter the individual MassChallenge usernames for each team member (you cannot enter their full name or email address in this section)
c. Upload your elevator pitch text and video (optional)
d. Complete the entry form: 16 questions that produce ~2 page executive summary
e. Enter endorsement numbers you have received at MassChallenge events (more information on this coming soon)
f. Submit payment:
i. $195 if paid before June 4th
ii. $295 if paid between June 4 and June 11
iii. Discount codes can be collected from select MassChallenge partners and at MassChallenge events for free entry and for $100 off entry. These codes can be entered in endorsement fields on your team portal. All discounts will be credited to teams on June 15.
g. Have each team member complete the pre-entry survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8FFNT2S
h. Meet people and point them to your online video pitch which they can rank and will help increase your score.
